POWER EVANGELISM

Acts 1:8
The NT Strategy is total miracle evangelism. This means the penetration of the entire world with the Gospel. It involves the believers of this generation confronting everyone in our world with the claims of Christ upon His life.

A.        Total Penetration
Early disciples began in Jerusalem sharing Christ with everyone. And they continued to spread the gospel into all Judea, and then Samaria and to the uttermost parts of the earth. Jesus' strategy is still total penetration of this world by the Church with His Gospel. Col 1:6

"that has come to  you.  In the same way, the gospel is bearing fruit and growing throughout the whole world, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and truly understood God's grace"

B.         Total Participation
Jesus said that every believer was to be a witness of Him. Total penetration of our world with the Gospel demands total participation of the membership of the local church in witnessing.  The church should enlist every believer in the work of reaching their vicinity for the Lord Jesus Christ.

Many Christians do not witness because they do not realize they need to witness. The believer must realize that witnessing for Jesus is not an option for a Christian. It is a command.  There are three things every minister must do to prepare every believer for miracle evangelism:
=          Enlighten the believers
=          Enlist the believer
=          Equip the believer

The Church today is to do the same as the Church Jesus left when He ascended. Mark 16:20
"Then the disciples went out and preached everywhere, and the Lord worked with them and                   confirmed his word by the signs that accompanied it"

C.         Total Power
Paul's method of evangelism was the preaching of the gospel with a demonstration of the power of God. 1 Corinthians 2:1-5 Our efforts in evangelism must, like Paul's, include a demonstration of the Spirit and of power through miracle evangelism!

Jesus was constantly arising, departing, and going to new places. He sought to be around new people. He discussed His teaching with many types of people of varied backgrounds. Some people will not come to where you are. You have to go to their home, their town, and their environment. Once, Jesus told His disciples to go the upper room. They were to tarry there until they received the marvelous experience of the Holy spirit. He told  five hundred this. Three hundred eighty disobeyed Him. Even after they had observed His resurrection and Hisi miracle life, only one hundred twenty out of the  five hundred actually followed His instruction. But those who were willing to go to a different place the upper Room recieved the marvelous outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
